Founded in 1980, DANŽ (Diver's Alert Network) is a non-profit organization
dedicated to the health and safety of recreational scuba divers. Well known for
operating diving's only 24-hour emergency hotline, DANŽ also operates a broad
range of services including a diving medical information line, diving medical
research, as well as developing and providing a number of educational programs
for divers of every level of experience.
Just as important to all recreational scuba divers, DANŽ offers its members a
broad range of diving insurance for worldwide protection for everything from
diving related accidents to equipment loss or damage.
With over 200,000 members, DANŽ is supported by membership dues and donations.
Members receive a number of important benefits including $100,000 emergency
medical evacuation assistance, DANŽ educational publications, a subscription to
Alert Diver magazine, and access to diving's first and foremost accident
insurance coverage.
